Ze! is one loud and bitchy discopop female singer & songwriter from Kuala Lumpur. Teaming up with Belgian producer, Ruben Debusschere to create music influenced by the likes of Madonna, Lady Gaga, MIA, Santigold, Yelle, CSS, NYPC, Roisin Murphy, The Ting Tings and Peaches.

Her singles ‘I AM GLAM’ & ‘CANDY’ have been picked for play on MTV’s newest tv show STYL’D next to the sounds of Cobra Starship, Datarock, Oh No Not Stereo, V Factory and lots more! Recent 2009 mini european tour saw Ze! opening for Chicks on Speed, Don Rimini, Mickey Moonlight and Afrikan Boy – including the Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary Party (Bread & Butter Berlin Fashion Week), Midsommar Festival, Vice Magazine / Tony Hawk Ride Party (in Frankfurt), Ghetto Noize (Superzero@ Zurich), White Trash Club, ARM Gallery (Kassel) and Ciccionina (@ Delft).

From starring in TV commercials by international brands like McDonald’s, Toyota and Pizza Hut, electropop songstress Ze! (pronounced zee) has come a long way and from a very experimental musical background. Back in 1999, Ze! started gigging as a rapper in an RnB girl trio Xaunte, Ze! released a first solo EP ‘My Make-Believe’ in 2003.

In 2005, Ze! released the ‘Shameless’ debut album which was recorded in Byron Bay (Australia) where she completed studies at SAE (School of Audio Engineering). ‘Shameless’ was a mash of electro to rock to ethnic tracks. The self-released CD brought her several award nominations including ‘Best Local English Artiste’ of 2006 (AIM, Malaysian Grammys), ‘Most Outstanding Youth of the Year’ 2005 (AYA, Asian Youth Ambassadors).

Music video ‘Too Sexy’ is seen on Hitz.TV, and singles have hit the charts of national radio. Single ‘Room for 2’ was recently featured on an MTV ad by Noise Singapore and she has also grabbed the CLEO Magazine’s Young Achievers Award 2007. Ze! has headlined alongside artistes like Malaysian Idol Winner Jaclyn Victor, DJ Gabriel, KRU and collaborated with Malaysian Reggae Ambassador Sasi the Don, Transient Vortex, Helmut Kraft, Nostalgic Dance Orchestra, J Lyall, Dragon Red, K Town Clan and Vandal. Ze has headlined a Red Sessions event, which has also featured Dimitri from Paris, Austin Leeds and Rasmus Faber. Recently performed at DanceValley Festival 2008 (Holland’s No.1 Dance Music Festival at Spaarnwoude with headliners like Tiesto, Carl Cox and Ferry Corsten) and on the same weekend Ze! headlined the Blue Nose Sunday at De Heeren Van Aemstel in the middle of Amsterdam. Later headlined at Sweat Club (Leipzig) and The Villa (Berlin) where Boyz Noise, Zombie Disco Squad and the likes has taken the stage. The mini european tour later ended with a performance with MC Dusaar at the Muziekodroom in Hasselt, Belgium.

Apart from music, Ze! is the co-founder of her sister’s streetwear fashion label OSIXNINE.
