dear diary,
Hungarian fashion photographer Vivienne Balla uses ‘I Am Glam’ on her Le Cool Budapest : Behind the Scenes video. Her work has been published on magazines like Where Budapest, Új M?vészet, PEP! and Elite. Which just makes me that much cooler, of course. Check her out!

dear diary,
i took pictures today – inspired by Madonna, masquerade parties and my alcoholic friends. And yes, i have a very sexy male mannequin living in my toilet. Full-frontal at all times, not to mention.
Here are a few of my personal faves.
More, more, more pictures on ‘the blonde ambition’ album here on facebook.
+this look is on Lookbook, hype it!
p/s: that gorgeous skirt is a sequined disco high-waisted skirt from Topshop, ZE! earrings i made myself, keyboard’s yamaha, smiley necklace from OSIXNINE, neon taped Xs from a stationary shop, black masquerade mask from a fashion party in Berlin, yellow gloves from London, pink heels from OSIXNINE, attitude is model’s own.

dear diary,
I’m Rocker Repro’s first ever Artist of the Month …. the blog pays a lot of attention to kick-ass lady artists like Lady Gaga and M.I.A., so it feels great to be featured on there. Boeja!

“Have you ever been to Kuala Lumpur? I think I can guess the answer to that question. But if you do ever visit, there’s one musicianista that will definitely catch your attention. Ze! isn’t just someone riding the electropop craze. She’s been into it for quite a while. With influences like Madonna, RóisÃn Murphy, M.I.A., Peaches, and Le Tigre, it’s clear that she knows what’s up when it comes to good electro music. Her fashion style is straight out of your wildest party dreams, and it’s clear she isn’t afraid to express herself through her clothes. She’s even opened for the likes of Chicks on Speed, who are practically legends as far as fashion-fused music goes.” – Rocker Repro. (read the full interview here.)

dear diary,
i watched this because i wanted to see mariah carey’s acting and what she looks like without make-up. And sure enough, she still had the diva in her shining through. But the star of this movie wasn’t her, it was Gabourey ‘Gabby’ Sidibe who played her part well, and so did the lady who played mom. The movie was good, but wasn’t particularly mind-blowing for me. And I find it a little hard to believe that life can be THAT unlucky for anybody. I especially liked Joann, played by Xosha Roquemore, who was always enthusiastic in class and brought some life (and some fashion sense) into the otherwise pessimistic movie. Oh, and I didn’t know until the end credits that Oprah was one of em executive producers. That explains why Mariah’s in there.

dear diary,
My bus trip back from Singapore today was spent reading a book that made me feel like the ghost of MJ was telling me his life story. ‘Moonwalk’ was written by Michael himself and i feel it’s really a story told from the heart. As much as he had wanted to reveal at least, of course. It was published in 1988 and I imagine he wrote the book so he could connect directly with his fans, hoping to be understood but seems like the more he tries doing so the more he is misunderstood. He’s a highly spiritual person and truly a kid at heart. I love how he isn’t afraid to talk about how he feels about something, the things that make him cry, the women he loved and how he makes a wish (omg, i’m not the only freak who makes wishes!)
All the things that men would normally avoid talking about because they’re afraid people would see them as being silly/immature/un-macho, he tells them wholeheartedly. And, he keeps a diary. He wears Mickey Mouse t-shirts for goodness sake! Why, such an amazing, passionate and beautiful person like him didn’t find his one true love is beyond me. Unless his ‘one true love’ was, well, music …or Diana Ross.
I know, i write as though he’s still alive. Because I want to believe he is. Because it’s scary to grow up and accept that it is the beginning of a completely new era – one without Michael Jackson in it. I admit I was very nervous during the 2010 countdown, and not because I was gonna go on stage and perform but because I didn’t know if i was ready for the new decade. Reading the book has given me new confidence and strength, and I feel relaxed. Thank you, MJ.
“My attitude is if fashion says it’s forbidden, I’m going to do it.”
I loved that line. And I think it describes him perfectly.

dear diary,
Charles of London got me to personally pick out dresses and jackets I liked from The Laden Showroom in Brick Lane for a photo shoot last summer. Aren’t they rad? It’s hard not to love the electro-rebel-glam-punk-rock look that makes them a rare find. Have a look and check out their online store at charlesoflondon.com

dear diary,
Here’s Madonna looking her stunning herself, more so playing the housewife for D&G’s Spring 2010 campaign photographed by Steven Klein. “To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true” say designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Don’t really care what it is she’s campaigning in here, she makes just about anything look good.
That used to include you, Guy Ritchie.
